"Arthurian" religion is practiced by contemporary people who pattern themselves after Arthurian mythos and ideals, drawing from stories of King Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table. People whose religion can be classified as "Arthurian" typically forget that the characters from Arthurian legends subscribed to actual religions of the time, particularly medieval Christianity and Celtic paganism (Druidism). Arthurian religionists are more than simply "fans" of the Arthurian legends. They eleveate the Arthurian mythos to the status of their "religion" by incorporating the stories into their lives and drawing on them as a principle source of inspiration and values.
