Alice and her husband Bill lived in New York City. They were both shocked one day when the costumed superhuman named Puma crashed through the roof of their apartment! Puma had been stalking Spider-Man and was about to kill the wall-crawling hero when Spider-Man's ally Black Cat's "bad luck" powers caused the roof Puma was standing on to break. Puma crashed into the apartment of Bill and Alice, giving Spider-Man and Black Cat an opportunity to escape.
