The symbol of Baphomet is a well-known symbol of Satanism: the inverted star in a traditional Satanic pentagram.

Baphomet has made distinct appearances in Marvel comics. But if the description of this demon as an "aspect of Satan" (or Marduk Kurios) is correct, then it is quite possible that Baphomet should not really be listed as a distinct "character," but simply as a version of the main Satan/Marduk Kurios character.

Elsewhere, Baphomet may be listed as a distinct demon in his own right. As is often the case with claimants to the title of Devil or Satan, there is probably some ambiguity regarding the precise identity of Baphomet.
