Clarence Duckett was a talented bass player before he was drafted to serve as a soldier during World War II.

Clarence Duckett (who was known as "Biz") was rescued from Nazis by Captain America during World War II. During this incident, Duckett learned Captain America's secret identity during World War II but throughout the rest of his life he refused to reveal the hero's identity.

Decades later, Captain America honored Duckett at his graveside.
