General Dauod Rafiq was a general in the Middle Eastern nation of Mazikhandari (a Muslim nation). Rafiq was the president elect who was to succeed Hassan, the current leader of the nation. Hassan was assassinated by the Red Skull and replaced with a synthetic copy loyal to the Skull. The Avengers and Invaders eventually exposed the plot and Rafiq himself destroyed the synthetic Hassan copy. Rafiq then became the duly elected leader of Mazikhandar.
