The Nextwave member known simply as "The Captain" once tried to adopt the name "Captain Marvel." He later recounted to his teammate Machine Man that he had to give up that name because there were many others who were using it, including an adult film star with a lightning bolt tattooed on his body, presumably in a place that only an adult film star would think to tattoo.
