Dr. Daniel Damian was exploring on Easter Island when he found Sentry #459. Later, with Ikaris and Margo Damian, Dr. Damian found the City of the Space Gods. He decided to stay there to study its ruins. He was exposed to cosmic energy within the City of the Space Gods. This incident briefly imbued him with a superhuman intellect and vast telepathic powers. Eventually driven mad by the powerful Celestial devices he toyed with, Dr. Damian tried to use his newfound powers to trick Eternals and Deviants into killing each other. He transformed Ajak, who had been a friend, into a monster. Ajak finally slew Dr. Damian.
