Iris Devereaux was the daughter of a human mother and an Eternal father named Ceyote. Ceyote had long ago fashioned for himself an identity based on Native American religion and culture. In fact, Ceyote has often been mistaken for a Native American deity. These facts naturally lead one to wonder about Iris Devereaux's own upbringing. To what extent was she raised by her father?
