In the "Earth-Zeitkrieg" alternative timeline, modern Germans sent modern weapons back to Nazi Germany, altering the timeline. The hero War Machine (Jim Rhodes) learned that WWII-era Nazi officer Grinz was being supplied with modern weapons by Rhodes' own son, Raeder. War Machine killed Grinz, preventing Raeder from being born.
