In Captain America (vol. 5) #30 (Nov. 2007), Sharon Carter takes a home pregnancy test and sees that the results are positive: confirming for the first time the fact that she is pregnant with Captain America's child. The baby was not yet named or seen. Eventually, she head a miscarriage, but her pregnancy was a major plot point for many issues.
