Tray's super powers came about as a result of experiments by government scientists. He had the ability to change shape. In addition, Tray wore a costume which let him fire energy blasts from his fists.

Tray was part of the group of Bush Rangers who attacked X-Force. Tray and Zippo personally beat on Spike. Tray tried to convince Spike to join them, but to no avail.

Tray impersonated Spike for a time.

Ultimately, Tray was killed by Orphan, when Orphan (a member of X-Force) kicked him in the head.
