Doro-Sul is one of the Kryptonian Stellar Navy soldiers who, along with Karsta Wor-Ul, deserted the military so that they did not need to return to Krypton and give up their yellow sun-spawned super powers. Most of these deserters were eventually captured or killed by authorities or the anti-Kryptonian mercenary Amalak.
Doro-Sul is first named in panel 4 on page 11 in Superman #669. In this panel, Karsta recalls how Almeraci soldiers had ambushed the fleeing Kryptonian deserters and killed many of them. She recalls, "We lost Kev-Dal an Doro-Sul."
