An unnamed Russian mutant was one of Yuri Garnoff's pre-Exiles. He had the mutant ability to fly. He was shot and killed by a Russian soldier while trying to capture Robert Drake. (Bobby Drake is usually known as Iceman, but he was visiting Russia in his civilian "X-Factor" identity and was not known to be a mutant).

The unnamed mutant wanted to capture Drake in order to use him as a hostage to demand that his fellow mutants be released from by the Russian government.
