Alvaro's ComicBoards.com describes Jerry Westman as a protester of "his father's use of Brutivac." This makes it sound like Jerry was somehow opposed to Brutivac itself. Brutivac was a machine used by his father's company, but we do not believe the machine was the real object of protest. Jerry was apparently part of a group of protesters who objected to what the elder Westman was doing with the machine: destroying some of New York City's parks to make way for additional building development. As Marvel Wikia describes it, Jerry was attached to a "youth group protesting against the destruction of a park for more development."
