Rack-cats are antlered feline-like animals native to the Watcher's home planet. A renegade Watcher used a rack-cat he called "Mad-Eye" to battle Captain Marvel in Captain Marvel #39 (July 1975). The fight was depicted on this issue's cover.

In addition to Captain Marvel's encounter with the rack-cat named "Mad-Eye," a rack-cat was also seen in Incredible Hulk (vol. 2) #473. This was probably a different rack-cat than Mad-Eye.
