Sources appear to differ as to whether the "Flag-Smasher" who appeared in Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways #1 and Avengers: The Initiative Annual #1 is an identical-appearing successor to the original Flag-Smasher (as we have listed him), or the original Flag-Smasher, who had been shown being assassinated by Domino.
If the "Flag-Smasher" who was first seen battling the Runaways actually is the original Flag-Smasher, he would not be the first comic book villain to return after what seemed like a certain death.
