The seven-year-old Maggie's parents were killed as a result of mistaken identity. The child was placed into a Catholic convent for safety by Punisher, placed with a priest who had been his teacher when he was a seminarian. But Maggie was then unwittingly placed into the home of the family that had been the original intended target of the assassination, under the new names the adopted for anonymity and safety.
