This Golem was introduced in Warheads #2 (July 1997). This Golem isn't the only Jewish-themed element in the story. The story also features the Malkuth troop. "Malkuth" is Hebrew for "Kingdom."

Obviously any character named "Golem" is borrowing on the traditional Jewish legends of golems. One would need to carefully read this story to ascertain whether or not this Golem is actually portrayed as stemming from Jewish mysticism or Kaballah or other Jewish sources, as traditional golems are, or whether it is simply based on the general concept.
