Rudiger is a great-grandparent of the angel/demon hybrid Sybil, a foe of the X-Man named Gambit. Sybil is the daughter of the villainous Olivier Stoker, who battled Gambit.
Little is known about Rudiger. We believe Rudiger is an angel, but Sybil also has many demons in her lineage, so it is possible that Rudiger is an demon. It would be necessary to read this story to know for certain. Rudiger is said to be associated with Biblical mythology, a fact which (in this context) lends itself to the suggestion that Rudiger is an angel.
