Ginnie Casey was a high school student. Her boyfriend was Trent Skoglund, who had joined the newly established Church of Asgard (also known as the Church of Thor). The villainous Asgardian tricker Loki manipulated Ginnie's father (Charles Casey) into firing a gun that triggered a violent battle between the Church of Asgard followers and members of other religious groups. Ginnie's boyfriend Trent was killed or seriously injured during the battle.
