Paolo Scorcese was a Latin American criminal. Daredevil's former girlfriend Karen Page was very down on her luck and living outside of the U.S. She prostituted herself to Scorcese in exchange for passage back to the United States. When Karen tried to leave Scorcese, he kidnapped her. Scorcese was shot by agents of the Kingpin. He survived, but was arrested.
