A green dragon was first seen rampaging in Japan when the X-Men returned from Battleworld, where the Beyonder had abducted them for the Secret Wars. The green dragon was not evil, but was unaccustomed to being so large. The X-Men and Lockheed worked to get it under control. The same dragon, returned to its smaller size, was later studied Japanese Department of Supernatural Sciences. It was seen in most issues of the X-Men: Kitty Pryde: Shadow & Flame limited series, in which it was captured by the Path of Destiny. It became an ally of Path member Nao until she struck it, after which the angered dragon burned down the Path's house.
