The "Unforgiven" were the personal chosen bodyguards of the villain Fabian Cortez. Skelter and Syth were two named members of the Unforgiven. There were at least two others. All apparently had super-powers.

Little is known about the actual religious affiliation of beliefs of Skelter and Syth. "Unforgiven" is an overtly religious name, although with ironically negative connotations. One can presume that Fabian Cortez himself named his elite group of bodyguards the "Unforgiven." Why did he do so?
