Bloodtype (DC Universe)

First Appearance: Aztek: The Ultimate Man #1 (Aug 1996)

Aliases: Bloodtype and Mister America II (original identity)

Background:
Bloodtype was the bloodthirsty protector of Vanity City prior to Aztek's arrival. In more innocent times he was one half of the husband and wife super-team, Mr America and Liberty Lass, who famously didn't know each other's secret identities. But Vanity corrupts the innocent and somewhere along the line Mr America became Bloodtype. He was a gun toting "hero" who asked all the criminals that he killed "What's your Bloodtype?" He was killed in an explosion as the end result of convoluted plot involving the Piper, Aztek and Vanity City's crime families. His former wife, Death-Doll (the former Liberty Lass) blamed Aztek for Bloodtype's death and tried to kill the rookie hero. Unfortunately she only managed to kill herself by accidentally teleporting into the space occupied by Bloodtype's tombstone.

There is nothing to indicate that Bloodtype was the same Mister America as the original Golden Age hero.
