Chester Goudal sincerely believed that he was a heroic vigilante killing evil vampires. But he was delusional. He saw monstes everywhere and he was actually killing good and bad people, fairly indiscriminately, imagining people to be evil vampires when they were not. Eventually the Punisher killed him, putting a stop to Goudal's delusional killing spree.
