In panel 2 on page 4, as they conclude the withdrawal process, the phony Bruce Wayne tells his "old friend" David, "Be sure to give my best to your lifely wife, Gladys."

Gladys herself is never actually seen in this story. Her husband, the banker named David, is seen in 4 panels.

The last name of David and his lovely wife Gladys is revealed later, in panel 3 on page 11. The real Bruce Wayne had amnesia for 12 hours. After he regains his memory and reunites with Robin, the Boy Wonder tells his mentor, "I know one place you were during those twelve hours -- the Gotham City Bank! I spoke to David Moore -- who said you cashed a check for half a million dollars!"
