Reverend Armand Koehn was a priest contacted by Thelma Walters, the mother of paranormal Jeff Walters ("Blur"). Mrs. Walters wanted Reverend Koehn to exorcise the demons that she believed were causing her son and his friends to exhibit paranormal powers. Reverend Koehn was not the priest for the congregation which Thelma Walters and her family belonged to. Rather, he was a priest who specialized in exorcisms.
At Thelma's request, Reverend Koehn attempted to perform an exorcism for the paranormal group known as D.P.7. (Thelma's son was a member of this group.)
The exorcism had no effect. Reverend Koehn told the group that in his opinion, there were no evil forces at work on the group. He did not believe that they were possessed by demons. The priest felt that their paranormal condition was not supernatural, but was the result of natural processes. He told the group that he would pray for them, but there was nothing more he could do for them.
Although Reverend Koehn believed that the paranormals' problem was not religious or supernatural in nature and beyond his ability to do anything about, he did offer the group some words of advice as they departed. Reverend Koehn told them that God would grand them the serenity to accept the things they can not change, the courage to change the things they can change, and the wisdom to know the difference between the two.
