Mrs. Carlson was seen in 3 panels on pages 2 and 3 of "Terror In the Trucker's Union" in Superman #4 (Spring 1940). She was never actually named, but she was the wife of Carlson, the Truckers' Union chief.

Clark Kent met Mrs. Carlson when he went to the Carlson home to interview the union chief. The Carlsons' daughter Amy had been kidnapped by thugs working for notorious racketeer Gus Snide. Fortunately Superman saved Amy from the criminals and returned her to her grateful parents. Amy called her parents "Mumsy" and "Daddy."

Mrs. Carlson wore prescription glasses and medium-length reddish-blonde hair tied back in a bun. She wore a modest solid red dress with white trim.

In this story it is clear that Mr. Carlson is a deeply ethical, God-fearing man. Little was actually revealed about his wife, but it can be assumed that this is how he led his family and that his wife was the same way.
