In the first issue of the first Micronauts series, the Micronaut hero known as Argon summoned the Enigma Force, a cosmic/religious force worshipped by people in the Microverse. In answer to this summons or prayer, the Time Traveler appeared to Argon and his companion, Marionette. Later the Time Traveler manifest himself to Arcturus Rann, another Micronaut, and the son of Sepsis Rann. After Marionette invoked the name of Dallan and Sepsis, the Traveler explained that those two (Arcturus's parents) had been the first to oppose Baron Karza. The Time Traveler explained that although Dallan and Sepsis had been killed by Karza for their opposition to him, they have now been "deified" as symbols of the resistance. Arcturus Rann and his companions became he newly formed team of champions known as the Micronauts, and they vowed to continue the resistance of Dallan and Sepsis against Karza.
