Trieste was a beautiful but mostly typical female member of the Banari race. She had red skin, superhuman strength and could breathe underwater. She was a slave of the Starblasters, a group of space-faring pirates.

Trieste and her fellow slave Zun are shown on the cover of Namor, the Sub-Mariner #47 attacking Namor underwater.

Trieste died when Tamara (another member of the Banari race) tried to kill Trieste's skullhugger. (Skullhuggers are mind-control devices used by the Starblasters.)
