In panel 6 on page 5 of the Batman story in Detective Comics #47, a newspaper's society page is shown. The Society page (or perhaps simply the "Society" column) was written by "Jerry Robinson," which is apparently the name of the newspaper's gossip columnist.

The headline on the page reads: "Diane Midas Makes Debut: Deb's coming out party costs $50,000. Most lavish of all debuts."

Obviously this newspaper writer's name is taken from the name of Batman comic book inker Jerry Robinson.

It may be too generous to call Jerry Robinson an actual "character" in this story. This might properly be understood as little more than a little jest or "inside joke" as part of an illustration in one panel. In any case, the character of "Jerry Robinson" is never seen in this story nor is he mentioned outside of this single illustration.

Obviously there is nothing in this story that suggests that newspaper columnist "Jerry Robinson" is Jewish. But because the "character" is based on real-life Jewish comic book artist Jerry Robinson, the "character" is classified as Jewish as well.

This character is in the following story which has been indexed by this website:
Detective Comics (vol. 1) #47 (Jan. 1941): "Money Can't Buy Happiness" (name seen in illustration (or on screen))
