A woman working with the villainous Royal Flush Gang posed as a high stakes gambler at the Startopia Hotel and Casino. She did this in order to steal valuable nanochips while the Royal Flush Gang created a distraction by taking hostages. After the Justice League of America intervened and the Royal Flush Gang escaped, the woman turned the nanochips over to Royal Flush Gang leader King.

King told the woman: "You've now officially moved up in the ranks. As of this moment, you are no longer the Five of Spades. Now you are the Six."

The former Five of Spades asked, "And the previous Six of Spades?"

King answered, "He'll either be shuffed up the deck or dealt out at Wild Card's inclination. You know that's how the game is played."
