An old boxing flyer announced a boxing match between Battlin' Jack Murdock (Daredevil's father) and a lesser known boxer named Bill Everett. The fight was to take place on February 25 in a year prior to the death of Jack Murdock and the subsequent emergence of his son Matt as the superhero Daredevil.

Nothing else is known about the character "Bill Everett." He was not pictured nor was he mentioned in narrative text or dialog. His name was simply seen on a flyer (or photograph of a flyer or poster) in panel 3 on page 12 in the story titled "3 Jacks," published in Daredevil #500 (Oct. 2009).

Obviously the boxer "Bill Everett" was named for the real-life comic book writer-artist Bill Everett, the co-creator of the Daredevil comic book character.
