Janet Galloway worked for Adarco Corporation, which was a front company for A.I.M. While it is quite possible that many Adarco employees were unaware that they worked for an A.I.M. front company, Janet Galloway herself definitely knew she worked for A.I.M. She may have been A.I.M.'s primary liason or agent within Adarco.
Galloway was the principle scientist in charge of transforming Brace into a somewhat monstrous cyborg. After coming to realize that he had been used by Adarco (and A.I.M.), Brace was incensed. He attacked the Adarco building and specifically attacked Janet Galloway.
Galloway attempted to shut down the BREW (the technology which had transformed Brace). The hero Annex tried to protect people there from an explosion caused by all of this, but Brace stayed and apparently sacrificed his own life in order to make sure that Galloway wouldn't escape.
