Alison Gaulthing had been subjected to scientific experiments by Adrenamix, which had been headed by her own father, Anderson Gaulthing. Other people subjected to the same experiments include Martin Banks (a.k.a. "Marvel Boy"), the Psigns of the Times, and over 100 other people who died as a result of the experiments.

The superhero Justice (Vance Astro) investigated Alison's death. At first, Alison seemed to be regular young runaway. The Yancy Street Gang was wrongly implicated in her death. It was only after some investigation that Justice discovered the terrifying secrets behind her death.
