Despite being a purely artificial creation, Braggadoom seemed fairly intelligent. It (or "he") spoke standard English. He apparently had human-level intelligence, or at least the potential for human-level intelligence. When Braggadoom was reverted to the size and mental state of an infant, he may well have been essentially a tabula rasa, a being with a soul not appreciably different from that of a human baby. It would seem that what Braggadoom would become from then on would depend largely on how his creator Dr. Arnold Krank raised him.
