The Asgardian goddess known as the Enchantress mentioned the "cats of Skornheim" during the Secret Wars. She was trying to blast the hero Captain America with hex bolts, but he was successfully evading her. In exasperation, she said: "Surtur''s Teeth--! You move as quickly as the cats of Skornheim!"

Scornheim is a realm within Asgard, a place of many wonders and monsters. Various characters from Skornheim (including Jolena and Karnilla) have been depicted in the annals of Thor and his associates. Skornheim has been depicted in a few stories wherein characters journey there. We are not yet completely certain that the Secret Wars utterance of the Enchantress constitutes the first time that the "cats of Skornheim" were ever mentioned. Possibly these famously fast-moving cats were depicted in earlier Thor comics. But as of now, this is the first mention of the "cats of Skornheim" that we are aware of.
