Jack Flag's girlfriend Lucy was first seen in Thunderbolts #110. She argued strenuously with him, trying to persuade him to give up his super-heroic secret identity.

Jack Flag did not follow Lucy's advice, and this decision soon led to his being arrested by the Thunderbolts and incarcerated in the "42" facility in the Negative Zone. From there he later joined the Guardians of the Galaxy for a short time.
