The unnamed young man who told Chamber he was a film student may have not actually been a film student. This may have been a pretense for tricking Chamber into cooporating with him.
Chamber learned that the "film student" was a moderator for a local campus discussion board on the Purity website. Purity, an anti-mutant organization, had a major anti-mutant website which attracted a lot of attention.
