Synthia Naip took on a female human form when she came to Earth and seduced Hank McCoy (a.k.a. the Beast). But her true form is a complex and most certainly non-anthropomorphic crystalline structure. It is quite possible that "gender" has no real meaning for this character in her (its?) true form. But because she (it?) appears as a human female throughout most of the story that introduced her, we have classified her as "female." Given his rather vigorous intimate relations with Ms. Naip, Dr. McCoy would probably prefer it this way.

This character is in the following story which has been indexed by this website:
X-Factor Special: Prisoner of Love (1990): "Prisoner of Love" (lead character)
