The Dark Ones are, according to Hank McCoy's alien lover Synthia Naip, a race which is an ancient enemy of her own race. The Dark Ones, she told the Beast, are evil and seek to destroy all light.

One of the Dark Ones, who Synthia Naip referred to simply as "the Dark One," pursued her to Earth. It was destroyed by the Beast and Synthia herself when it attacked her.
