Quite some time after Thomas and his twin brother William were born to the mutant Scarlet Witch and the synthezoid Vision, it was revealed that the twins were actually magical creations derived from the energy of the demon lord Mephisto. Thomas and William were apparently reabsorbed by Mephisto and ceased to exist. But still later, it the Young Avengers Speed and Wiccan emerged on the scene and, seemingly, were Thomas and William reborn.
Whether or not Speed and Wiccan are actually the twin sons of the Scarlet Witch and the Vision apparently remains an open question.
