The X-Men originally cooperated with a TV documentary film crew who were creating a special episode of the "Spotlight" program about the X-Men. But when executive producer Paul D'Antoni became the new head of the project, he opted to emphasize sensationalism and he wanted to twist the facts about the X-Men.
