Agamotto's former disciple was granted the Eye of Agamotto. Agamotto himself granted his Eye and Orb to this disciple in order that he might fight evil, principally Dormammu, ruler of the Dark Dimension. But this disciple came to decide that "good" and "evil" were subjective terms and that the fight was not worth the prize. So this disciple no longer desired to fight Dormammu specifically or evil generally. The gifts from Agamotto were withdrawn and eventually given to Doctor Strange.
