The Priests of Pama are a pacifistic sect of Kree religion. They are essentially a distinct denomination or religious body which has splintered off from mainstream Kree religion. The main point of contention was that the Priests of Pama are devoted pacifists, while mainstream Kree are not. For this reason, the Priests of Pama have been persecuted and sometimes hunted or killed by mainstream Kree.

The Priests of Pama may be best known as the group which raised and trained the cosmic Avenger known as Mantis. They also trained Libra. Moondragon is another well known hero (and Avenger) who was trained with the Priests of Pama.

The man who would become known as "Libra" (a member of the criminal Zodiac cartel) escaped from Saigon, Vietnam with his daughter. The future Libra and his daughter found refuge with the Priests of Pama. There in the religious center of the Priests of Pama on Earth, the young Mantis learned martial arts.

The Priests of Pama have centers on other planets besides Earth. On Earth, their main center is in Vietnam, in a place known as Agaphaur.

Another location where Priests of Pama can be found is the planet Tamal, which is where Quoi was raised.

Individual members of the Priests of Pama include Foster, L'ai Sau, Om-Fad, Son-Dar, Straker, and Teress.

One activity the Priests of Pama engage in is protecting the Cotati, an alien race of intelligent and telepathic vegetation, which originated on Hala, homeworld to the Kree race. The Kree nearly drove the Cotati to extinction. The Priests of Pama relocated Cotati to other planets, signifcant among these being Tamal.
