Mr. Williams was an older man who had lived in the forrested Pine Barrens of New Jersey for many years. He knew about the existence of aliens known as "the Visitors." These aliens preyed on humans, and had done so for many years. But he kept his knowledge about these aliens a secret.

When the Fantastic Four took Franklin Richards and his young friends camping in the Pine Barrens, they encountered the Visitors. Eventually they figured out what the situation was.

The Invisible Woman threatened to expose the behavior of Mr. Williams in keeping this secret and letting a danger continue unchecked in the forest. Faced with this threat, Mr. Williams committed suicide.
