A Skrull woman whose name was never revealed was married to a brilliant Skrull scientist who was the chief scientist for his homeworld. When Galactus destroyed their world, the couple sent their infant child to Earth, where he was adopted by humans and raised on a farm in Iowa under the name "Ethan Edwards."
This Skrull woman is based in part on Superman's biological mother Lara.
