The "Bottle Imp" had once been a fairly ordinary demon. But he was magically transformed into a bottle by a more powerful demon. As a "bottle," the Bottle Imp trapped other people by posing as a demon within the bottle. The Bottle Imp's secret - that he was actually the bottle itself - was ultimately discovered by Doctor Strange. With this knowledge, the Sorcerer Supreme defeated the Bottle Imp.
