The alien who was featured in the story "The Prisoner from Pluto!" was imprisoned on Earth. In his prison cell he built a "brain-converter." His plan was to use it to switch his consciousness with that of his human cell-mate. Then, when his cell-mate was released from prison the next day, the "Prisoner from Pluto" would free from prison, while his cellmate would be trapped behind bars in an alien body.
