"Ham" was quite possibly a nickname, and not this character's real name. But it might have been the character's real name. Perhaps Ham's real name is Ham, and just for fun, the SHIELD agent he worked closely with started going by the nickname "Eggs." Or perhaps both"Ham" and "Eggs" are nicknames or code names.

"Ham" and "Eggs" were a pair of overzealous S.H.I.E.L.D. agents that Captain American encountered in SHIELD headquarters. The two agents were blocking Captain America's way to get into see SHIELD director Nick Fury. Captain America had to fight them briefly in order to see Fury.
